We are currently running Windows 7 enterprise 64Bit, Lotus Notes 8.5.1 and MS office products with MS Outlook NOT INSTALLED (Can't install this on users PC for certain reasons, not sure why). When Notes is set as the default mail client and Notes is also associated with the MAPI protocol in Windows, MS Office products cannot send mail by using the File>Send>Email options, these options are greyed out unless you install Outlook. Like I said before, certain people of my org does not want to install this so I am searching for a different solution. Is there any other way to use Lotus notes as the mail program with MAPI and enable this feature in MS office products? Not sure whether this would be a MS problem or IBM problem, but I still need some different directions. Thanks in advance.
